Ed Stobbs began selling cars in 1947. He sold Kaiser-Frazer
autos before the company halted production in the early 1950’s.
That was the beginning of Stobbs Sales, which included a gas station
and car sales. Oldsmobile was added in 1948, GMC trucks in 1949,
Pontiac in 1955, and Chevrolet in 1986. Ed’s son, Keith, took over
the ownership in 1983.
Stobbs Sales is located on Highway 14 in Miller, SD, between Huron
